 UPM is dedicated to integrating sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across its academic programmes and has systematically mapped all courses, including full degrees and electives, that address these topics. Through this mapping, students across faculties can identify courses that provide knowledge, skills, and practical experience in sustainability, enabling them to contribute effectively to SDG-related solutions in their future careers.

Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has received professional accreditation from the Committee Heads of Environmental Sciences, the education committee of the Institution of Environmental Sciences (CHES-IES), United Kingdom, for three academic programmes at the Department of Environmental, Faculty of Forestry and Environment (FPAS):

1. Master of Environment
2. Bachelor of Environmental Management with Honours
3. Bachelor of Environmental Science and Technology with Honours
