Disabled Facilities

UPM offers several infrastructures and facilities dedicated for the disabled.

1. Two Mobility vans are under the responsibilty of the Student Affairs Division.
2. One parking lot for the disabled is compulsory for every faculty. Currently there are more than 30 parking lots for the disabled in UPM.
3. One Braille machine placed at the UPM Library for student's use.
4. A number of routes with tactile paving are found in four different buildings.
5. There are twenty-two rooms in residential colleges for the disabled.
6. One set of rams and rails are found in every building in UPM.
7. There are 8 roofed pedestrians in different buildings.

Financial Allocation to Upgrade the Infrastructure of the Disabled

Accommodation policy is related to MyU OKU Audit by Ministry of Higher Education. RM1 Million funding has been provided by the Ministry of Higher Education to upgrade all buildings in UPM including Person with Disability (PWD) rooms. In addition, RM80,000.00 funding was given by the Centre for Management of Waqf, Zakat And Endowment (WAZAN) UPM for similar purposes.
