“Discrimination on the grounds of religion, race, etc. is prohibited”

8. Subject to Article 153 of the Federal Constitution, membership of the University, whether as a student or an employee of the University, shall be open to all persons regardless of gender, race, religion, nationality, or class; and no test of religious belief or profession shall be imposed or required for admission as a member, or for the awarding of any degree or diploma of the University.

Furthermore, no fellowship, scholarship, grant, bursary, medal, prize, honour, or other award shall be restricted to persons of any particular race, religion, nationality, or class if the funding for such is derived from the general funds of the University.
